Health Insurance Eligibility Extension for Adult Children
Both the Federal Government & the State of Ohio have passed legislation that extends eligiblity of parent’s medical coverage to adult children. The following chart provides an overview explanation how the federal and state legislation will work together. Federal Law takes precedence over state law. Adult children under the age of 26 must meet the Federal requirements for coverage and children 26 or 27 years of age must meet the State requirements. Click here for the full comparison
