Health Industry Experience
Leonard
Insurance Services has been providing university students with affordable
health insurance for over 15 years. Our knowledge has been developed through
relationships with several area colleges and by providing local &
immediate service to the student body and administrators. We've maintained
our relationships because of our strong commitment to service and our
ability to respond to the fast paced changes of the health insurance industry.

In addition to service, many of the schools have been able to benefit from Leonard Insurance Services' pioneering effort to be one of the first agencies in Ohio to introduce managed care to student health plans. We continue to be an agency that has plan design flexibility and PPO network versatility.
Through membership in the American College Health Association and NAFSA, as well as through conference participation, we have been able to expand into Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. However, the most important development to come from membership was the need to provide an informative website for student health insurance.
One of Leonard Insurance Services greatest strengths in our Student Benefit Division is our website. It is one of the first interactive websites in Ohio available to both students and administrators. At www.leonardinsurance.com, administrators and students alike have the ability to do the following on-line:
- verify enrollment,
- review plan coverage,
- download enrollment and
claim forms,
- locate providers,
- using a self-designated
PIN number, students
have the ability to view their claim status.
Our well experienced support
staff collectively has 30 years working in the student health industry.
They are an integral part of our commitment to service often acting as
liaisons between the student body, administrators and the insurance company.
Most frequently they are assisting the international student population
with policy interpretation and claims, and everyone is cross-trained to
provide back up support when it is needed. At Leonard Insurance Services
we believe that service is the lifeblood of our organization. It's not
a department . . . it's an attitude.
