Leonard Insurance Services has been prominent in the insurance industry since 1904. Representing more than 35 Insurance Companies, we are able to provide our clients with a wide range of products and services to meet their needs. Our staff is comprised of insurance professionals with many years of experience and insurance industry designations. At Leonard Insurance Services, the person responsible for your account would be the "producer". The producer conducts the risk management analysis, designs a program and offers continuing account service. Supporting our producers is our inside service staff. Professional. Responsive. Every account, regardless of size, has an Account Manager who is that client's internal contact. In addition, we have three Property and Casualty claim representatives that will assist you throughout the entire claim process. For over 100 years, Leonard Insurance Serivces has kept a very strong commitment to the community and to Stark and surrounding Counties. Through involvement with the Chamber of Commerce, the local United Way, The Boy Scouts, The YMCA, The Builder's Exchange and many other community services, Leonard Insurance has shown a genuine love and appreciation for the community where it has grown and flourished.

Leonard Insurance Services is a full service agency writing commercial lines, personal lines, employee benefits, life insurance and financial planning all under one roof. With close to 10,000 customers, we write business all across the country while the greater percentage of our business remains in Northeastern Ohio.

While the name Leonard Insurance Services came from a 1984 merger of two of the largest insurance agencies in Stark County, the history behind the company goes back to the early part of the 20th century. Insurance Services, Inc., with roots back to 1923, and The Leonard Agency Company, founded in 1904, merged to create one of the largest independent agencies in Ohio. The reason behind the merger was a simple one, to build and perpetuate the agency. The merger paid off. The company's employee benefit and life department grew substantially. The new organization also expanded their construction services division, and today we are the largest providers of insurance and surety bonding to the construction industry in Ohio.

In 1990, Leonard Insurance Services established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) to involve the employees in the ownership of the company. Today the employees own over 30% of the agency.

The name says it all - insurance service. Leonard Insurance Services takes that extra step to make sure that all their customers receive one-on-one attention to their insurance needs. It's a simple offering that many insurance providers have forgotten in this age of 1-800 numbers and automated inquiries. So, while technology has changed the world dramatically in the last 100 years, it's that one-on-one contact that has helped keep Leonard at the forefront in the insurance business in Ohio. Coupled with the knowledge, history and compassion of its employee owners, service is the factor that will keep Leonard expanding for many decades to come.
